" A good way to keep your valuables from being stolen is to fool your attacker. You do not even have to have a women's self defense class for this one. Just do not put anything of value in your purse. Carry your credit cards and large bills in your jacket pocket or in your sock. Another trick is to carry your stuff in a fanny pack under your jacket or short. If you do cause an accident, let it be on your turns. Make sure your speed is slow enough not to harm yourself or others. If you are locked in a trunk, kick the tail lights out or at least unplug them so the people behind will not see the turning signal. If you can knock out the lights, stick a finger or stick out the hole and move around so that the driver behind can see. Most assaulters are men and they see women as an easy target. Why choose a man to rob when he is likely not only to defend himself, but would also slow down the assault and get away. Women are the logical choice for the criminal activity because most women would succumb to the assaulter's wishes because of smaller stature and less strength. Since the fight against domestic and women's abuse is such a prevalent issue there, they will probably have the information. It is your responsibility to take women's self defense courses because if you are a mother, it is your responsibilities to not only protect yourself but also to protect your children. Women's Self Defense: Fad or Necessity Today's society would have one believe that a woman who chooses to live alone is allowing herself to become a target for all sorts of criminal activity. A woman alone is an easy mark, so to speak, and as such should be prepared to defend herself. However, there is evidence that it is not the unknown attacker that should be of concern, but those that are chosen to be trusted. This does not simply mean that a woman needs only to be able to financially support themselves, but also they must be able to physically defend their person. To achieve this, many women need to learn the art of women's self-defense. The achievement of mastering these skills in women's self-defense will not only help the individual to learn basic protection, but build confidence.
