Ceremonial presentations One of the most popular rituals in Arnhem Land is the Narra ritual. Its songs are commonly accompanied by large paired sticks that are slowly beaten. Due to the towering ceremonial status of the Narra rituals, some may believe that songs accompanied by the didgeridoo are younger that Narra songs. It produces sound by using tangents, small metal blades, to strike the strings. The name of clavichord derives from the Latin clavis which mean key and chorda which means string of a musical instrument. History In the early fourteenth century, the clavichord was believed to be invented. It was well-known in the 16th to the 18th century and was most popular in Scandinavia, the Iberian Peninsula, and other lands which use the German language. That is how an octavin would roughly look like. A change to the octavin During the young twentieth century, it would seem that the odd shape of the octavin has caught the negative attention of a few instrument designers. It is would be strange right now but some straight octavins were created which made it look like a clarinet at first sight. This gave rise to its name, Piccolo, which is Italian for small. History The piccolo originated from flutes but it first made its appearance in the orchestra on 1700. The earliest performance with a piccolo was Rinaldo by Handel on 1711. It was constructed with two sections with an E-flat key during the Baroque era. It is a wind instrument and controlling of the pitch is up to the player s varying embouchure. Adjusting the mouth s position and controlling how much wind goes through the bugle produces the tones. It is the foundation for various other wind instruments and is groundwork for learning mouth control for playing instruments other than the bugle. Another type of tuba is the bass tuba that is smaller compared to the contrabass and pitched in E flat or F. Its pitch is a fourth higher than the contrabass tuba. The F tuba is the standard instrument of the orchestras in most of Europe. It is usually played by professionals in solo and to play in higher positions in the classical ensemble.
