Treasure or Scavenger Hunt Children live for wonder and new discoveries. Why not set up a treasure hunt that would test their analytical and motor skills? Some ideas include hiding goodie bags and handing out pieces of paper containing clues on how to find the bags. Draw a map to the "treasure". In fact, the one thing that you can actually focus on with the food is how they look. Children judge food initially based on their appearance, so you might want to make them enticing. Enticing, for kids, means cartoony and colorful, so you can go play with food coloring if you want. Blue spaghetti? Why not? Throughout this party the children should ask to one another yes and no questions. They should eventually figure out who is the same animal as him or her. After the party, let everyone sit down beside who they think is their "Barn Buddy". If they got the wrong "Barn Buddy" review the clues with the children. You do not really need to own a farm to make this happen. You can bring in animals for petting in your yard, or you could set up animals made of paper-mache all over. Another good idea would be to allow your guests to bring their pets. Not only will this party be fun, it could be a fantastic learning experience for all, as well. You never know. The games part is a little challenging, though, because you will need a good, enticing party host to get the guests to participate. Children are generally shy, so it can be quite a task to urge them to join in on the activities. There are many children's birthday party game ideas all over the Internet, so this part will be a cinch. Great Games For Your Childs Birthday Party The most important element of a successful children's birthday party, perhaps, is the kind of games you prepare. Children pay more attention to the activities you've planned out all throughout the party than the food you prepare (this is what adults nitpick, unfortunately) so it would be prudent to spend some time thinking of interesting children's birthday party games.
