The tuba is one of the newest members of the modern symphony orchestra. It was first publicly played in the middle of the 19th century when it took the place of the ophicleide. The player produces sound by vibrating his lips against a large cup-shaped mouthpiece. The term tuba is Latin for horn or trumpet. The bell is then hollowed out to be conical with the goal of increasing volume and sound production. The reed is made of cane. This cane is folded and attached to a short tube called staple which is placed in the wooden pipe s top. Access to the high notes comes with enormous difficulty because of the lack of reed control of wind capped instruments. Banjo The banjo has a body similar to a tambourine with four or five strings. The strings cross above a pressure bridge and are attached to a tailpiece. These vibrate and also cause the stretched animal hide or plastic membrane to vibrate. Some believe that the name banjo came from the Portuguese word bandore or a Spanish word bandurria. Its songs are commonly accompanied by large paired sticks that are slowly beaten. Due to the towering ceremonial status of the Narra rituals, some may believe that songs accompanied by the didgeridoo are younger that Narra songs. Despite that, didgeridoo has functioned as a musical adhesive which preserves the remnants of song techniques from centuries back. Thus, skill and technique is needed when consecutively playing fretted notes because there is a big chance of producing unwanted sound when overlaps happen. A solution to this would be to perform a legato. Clavichords in rock music In its clavinet form, it entered the genre of rock music. The clavinet is a clavichord that is electrically powered which gives an amplification signal by using magnetic pick-up. Yet visual and textual remains could still possible prove bagpipes in ancient forms. Parts of the bagpipe Bagpipes regularly consist of four parts a bag, a drone, an air supply, and a chanter. The supply of air comes from blowing into a blowstick or blowpipe. Blowpipes today usually have a non-return valve so that the player does not need to cover the edge of the blowpipe with his or her tongue when inhaling.
