Pin the tail on the donkey (or any other character or object) is a staple in most parties. It has been a tried and tested entertainer and it never fails to keep the kids happy. Another activity you can have is Hit the Pinata. It's easy to make a pinata. You just need a paper grocery bag filled with all sorts of goodies and little toys and decorate it with colorful paper and stickers. Decorate the grocery bag with colorful paper and drawings or mold it in such a way that it resembles a particular animal or object (even a person or cartoon character). Make sure that this game has enough adult supervision, though, because it involves the use of a stick (to hit the Pinata). Ballon Burst. It only needs four apples. First, break the children into two groups. When the game master says, "go!" the children must pass on the apple from their neck to the next child's neck without dropping it. They must only use their neck and chin and the children disobeying would be disqualified. The last person should wear a hankerchief to indicate that he or she is the last. Also, ask the venue owner if they can only accommodate a certain number of people and if they require that your guest list have a minimum number of confirmed attendees. Most owners of outdoor children's party places have entertainment and food packages for a speficic number of people (30s, 50s, etc), so you'll also have to ask how much they charge per head in case your guests exceed the number you've initially committed to. You do not really need to own a farm to make this happen. You can bring in animals for petting in your yard, or you could set up animals made of paper-mache all over. Another good idea would be to allow your guests to bring their pets. Not only will this party be fun, it could be a fantastic learning experience for all, as well. If it's your child's enjoyment that's on your mind, you can have a themed party every day for the rest of month, if your budget and energies permit it. Themes are not exactly gender exclusive. However, there are certain children's birthday party themes that fit girls only or boys only. For example, fairy themes, luaus, Disney princess themes and sweet sixteens are exclusively for girls.
